One of the most ancient tradition in India are the Chakras, they represent a metaphor for the sun.  Perhaps this would probably be an ancient tradition of the Nepalis and Tibetan as well. There are seven chakra stones and since then it is believed that these scared stones have healing powers by the energy they amplified. They are considered to be a treasure by many people.

Chakra Theory

The chakra theory states that every human being is made up of a spiritual body and a physical body and that these two functions are separate from each other. The chakra theory concentrates on the more spiritual part of the body and is said that this consists of light vibrations. Each one of these is a characteristic of a specifically different energy centre.

They are in the center of the body, starting at the base of the spine and running up to the top of the head.

  1. Root/Base Chakra
  2. Stomach/Solar Plexus Chakra
  3. Sex/Navel Chakra
  4. Heart Chakra
  5. Throat Chakra
  6. Brow/Third Eye Chakra

These energy centre role is actually pumping and helping the flow of energy throughout your physical body. For you to have a positive energy means that your chakras are to be aligned and balanced. You do not want them to be unbalanced since they can create negative energy, hence your body will easily get sick, and overall you will not feel your best.  When all your energy (or known as qi in Chinese) are in flowing properly across your body and organs, your health and physical being will automatically improve.

Learning Stone Therapy and Massage

You can perform chakra stone therapy at home. When performing chakras stone therapy, there are two types of gemstones that are used, these are the placement on all chakras all at the same time or placement of only one chakra at a time. However it is best to identify through experimentation the ideal one that works best for you.

To find a chakra you need to carefully perform the following steps

You can use a gemstone and circle it in front of the body in a large circle over where a chakra should be. Although many gemstones may work for this, but the Black Onyx is what many people prefer to use. The gemstone may not be used after practice, but it is recommended to use by people without much practice as it makes it much easier to locate.

You can also reduce the size of the circle that follows the energy. And you can feel where the chakra is by using the black onyx. A person body would tingle wherever the chakra is located. You can use a variety of gemstones.

Single Chakras

You can search for a single chakra by putting the gemstone directly on the chakra and leaving it there for about three to twenty five minutes. There are specific types of stones that are better at locating a chakra in specific parts of the body. These are as follows

Heart Chakra: Rose Quartz/Ruby

Root/Base Chakra: Black Onyx/Obsidian

Crown Chakra: Amethyst/Clear Quartz

Brow/Third Eye Chakra: Lapis Lazuli/Amethyst/ Clear Quartz/Aquamarine

Sex/Navel Chakra: Carnelian

Stomach/Solar Plexus Chakra: Citrine

Throat Chakra: purple/Indigo,

All Chakras

First off, you can try this by lying down in a comfortable position.  You can take seven gemstones and place them on all chakras located all over your body as listed above. You can start from the base chakra and then gradually work your way up the body. You should leave them on your body for no longer than twenty five minutes. Then remove the strand in the opposite order, i.e. start from your head.

Examples of commonly used chakra stones below.
