The sage aroma

The aroma of sage is quite spicy and well scented. It is mainly used for culinary purposes but has many other uses which have travelled down from our ancestors. Unlike jasmine and sandalwood, sage would stop the production of breast milk in a weaning mother. As one part of aromatherapy scents,  the aroma of sage has been and still continues to be used to keep away evil spirits and negative vibes. Many people either grow or buy it to keep in and around their dwelling place. Sage in the form of oil can be used for aromatherapy. Women who are menopausal can enjoy the scent of sage to ease their menopausal symptoms.

Sage has aromatic healing powers for the mind, body and emotions. The scent of sage can be used to get rid of depression and even put you in a good mood if you were ever in a bad one. The scent of sage could be used to calm nervousness and ease anxiety in the mind of a stressed out individual. The scent of sage can help women who have difficulties in getting pregnant and aid women who suffer with menstrual problems. If you suffer from headaches brought on by tension and stress, the scent of sage can ease and get rid of it. People who have trouble remembering can use the scent of sage to help enhance their memory skills.

Sage can be used as a stimulant to aid in the bodies’ circulatory system. The scent of sage can regulate the hormones and stimulate the gallbladder. For people suffering with a sense of hopelessness and mental disorder, the scent of sage can get rid of such mental illness and bring wisdom to your mind. The scent of sage can also bring your entire being mind, body and emotions into balance. The scent of sage can encourage one to face their fears, instill self confidence and inner strength.

Sage was and still is believed today to increase one’s lifespan. It can be used to heal respiratory ailments whether in its plant or oil form. People who suffer with digestive disorders can inhale the scent of sage to ease any indigestion or stomach problems. The scent of sage can again be use in its plant form to be either burnt or boiled. People who burn it allow the smoke to surround them or where they have negative energy around them or simply to clear their sinuses.

The scent of sage has many healing benefits but still should be avoided in some cases like with pregnant or nursing mothers. If someone is epileptic, then sage should not be administered to them in any form. If someone has suffered emotional abuse or is in denial about something negative that happened in their life, the scent of sage can heal their distress and give them a more secure emotional state. Sage brings about such balance in the body that it could be used as aromatherapy in health spas or even amongst those who practice yoga and meditation.
